On January 6, the Hebei Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology announced the list of provincial technology innovation demonstration enterprises for 2022. A total of 36 companies, including Hebei Guangxiang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. of the Group, were recognized by the department as provincial technology innovation demonstration enterprises for 2022.
According to reports, the selection of Hebei Province’s Model Enterprises for Technological Innovation evaluates enterprises across multiple dimensions, including innovation investment, talent incentives, innovation collaboration, innovation team building, development of innovation infrastructure, accumulation and stockpiling of technological expertise, outputs of technological innovation, and the economic benefits derived from such innovation. The designation process is conducted in accordance with the Measures for the Administration of the Recognition of Model Enterprises for Technological Innovation in Hebei Province and other relevant requirements, and involves preliminary review and recommendation by the industrial and information technology bureaus of each city, initial document review, expert evaluation, on-site inspections, and public announcement online.
Guangxiang Pharmaceutical serves as the strategic hub for Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group in building an “API-plus-formulation” business model, accelerating industrial transformation, and strengthening, extending, and reinforcing the industrial chain. Since last year, Guangxiang Pharmaceutical has continuously refined its innovation mechanisms, intensified efforts to develop a robust science-and-technology innovation system, and increased investment in research and development. The company has focused on independently developing key specialty APIs and high-end APIs, as well as mastering critical core technologies such as API synthesis, relentlessly tackling technical challenges, speeding up the translation of research projects into practical applications, and bolstering the resilience of its innovation, industrial, and supply chains. In 2022, Guangxiang Pharmaceutical successfully translated eight distinctive active pharmaceutical ingredients—such as pentoxifylline, levornidazole, and ornidazole—into commercial products, providing robust support for the company’s high-quality development through technological innovation. Guided by innovation-driven growth, Guangxiang Pharmaceutical has successively been recognized as a High-Tech Enterprise, a Provincial Enterprise Technology Center, a Provincial Technological Innovation Center, a Provincial Engineering Research Center for Continuous Micro-Reaction Synthesis of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients, a Postdoctoral Research Station, a Provincial Science-and-Technology-Based Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise, a Provincial Demonstration Enterprise for Specialization, Refinement, Distinctiveness, and Novelty, a Provincial Industrial Enterprise R&D Institution (Level A), and a Provincial Green Factory.
