【SUMMARY】 On the afternoon of August 10, a delegation from the Digital Economy and Digital Trade Special Committee of the China WTO Research Association visited Hebei Guangxiang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., part of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group, for an inspection and study tour.

Dong Mingyan, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Cangzhou Municipal Committee, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Bohai New Area, Secretary of the CPC Huanghua Municipal Committee, and Director of the Standing Committee of the Huanghua Municipal People’s Congress, along with Li Fan, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Cangzhou Municipal Committee and Head of the Publicity Department, accompanied the delegation on the visit.

The delegation visited Guangxiang Pharmaceutical, where they heard a briefing from Chairman Cui Yongbin on the company’s market development, research and innovation, and strategic planning. The delegation commended Guangxiang Pharmaceutical for leveraging its industrial strengths, seizing the opportunities presented by the coordinated development of the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region, and achieving remarkable results in accelerating the dual circulation of domestic and international markets through innovation-driven initiatives and capital operations.

Dong Mingyan stated that vigorously developing the pharmaceutical industry is of great significance for deepening the reform of the medical and healthcare system, advancing comprehensive health development, and fostering new drivers of economic growth in the Bohai New Area and Huanghua City. Dong Mingyan expressed his hope that the Special Committee on Digital Economy and Digital Trade of the China WTO Research Association will continue to pay close attention to and provide ongoing support for the development and construction of the Bohai New Area and Huanghua City, offering more sound advice and recommendations in areas such as pharmaceutical industry development and smart city construction. The Bohai New Area and Huanghua City, leveraging their respective developmental strengths, will provide comprehensive services and support to promote mutually beneficial cooperation between the two sides across a broader range of fields.

Yang Yong, Director of the Digital Economy and Digital Trade Professional Committee of the China WTO Research Association, stated that the Bohai New Area and Huanghua City boast enormous development potential and a vibrant entrepreneurial atmosphere. He expressed the hope that both sides will focus on key regions and priority sectors to carry out comprehensive alignment and cooperation. The Committee will fully leverage the role of its experts and scholars as a “think tank” to seize opportunities in the digital economy, promote the development of digital trade, and contribute to accelerating the Bohai New Area and Huanghua City’s efforts to become leading hubs of the coastal economic belt and high grounds for reform and opening-up.

Zheng Yuzhong, leader of the Bohai New Area and Huanghua City, together with representatives from the Municipal Party Committee Office and relevant enterprises, conducted an inspection and research visit.
