On December 16, the Hebei Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology released the list of 2024 Provincial Industrial Internet Benchmark Cases, with two projects from Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical—“Development of a Manufacturing Execution System for Sterile Preparations” and “Construction Project of a Hyper-Converged Server Cloud Platform” submitted by Hebei Guangxiang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.—successfully selected.
As a leading enterprise in China’s large-volume parenteral solutions sector, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical has in recent years been vigorously advancing the digital transformation of sterile manufacturing for large-volume infusions, actively exploring applications of the Industrial Internet. In particular, the company has effectively integrated its enterprise resource planning system with its process control system in the infusion production workshop, thereby establishing a Manufacturing Execution System centered on production management and quality control. This system enables comprehensive management and real-time tracking of production, quality, process operations, materials, equipment, and personnel throughout the key stages—from material input to finished-product output—thereby enhancing production efficiency while further reducing costs and improving product quality. Since the project’s implementation, production efficiency has increased by more than 30%, overall product costs have fallen by 10%, and the company’s production execution management has become more transparent, refined, and standardized.
Guangxiang Pharmaceutical, a subsidiary of the Group, serves as a key strategic hub for establishing the Group’s “API-plus-formulation” business model, accelerating industrial transformation, and strengthening and extending the industrial value chain. The company places great emphasis on digital transformation, leveraging its industry-specific characteristics and internal development needs to continuously advance the integration of informatization and industrialization. According to reports, in order to implement the spirit of documents such as the Provincial Leading Group for Building a Strong Manufacturing Province’s “Work Plan on Vigorously Developing Industrial Internet Platforms and Accelerating the Deep Integration of Industrialization and Informatization” and the Hebei Province “14th Five-Year Plan for the Deep Integration and Development of Informatization and Industrialization,” and to better summarize the successful experiences of benchmark demonstration projects in the industrial internet, develop typical cases tailored to specific sub-sectors or particular application scenarios, and provide replicable best practices for the digital transformation of industrial enterprises across the province, the Hebei Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology has organized the selection of 2024 Hebei Provincial Industrial Internet Benchmark Cases. Following enterprise applications, review and recommendation by municipal departments of industry and information technology, expert evaluation, and public announcement, a total of 61 cases were selected.
