To thoroughly implement the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, strengthen the leading role of Party building, deepen the integrated innovation of industry–university–research–application collaboration, better serve Hebei’s economic development and social progress, and steadily advance the “Strong Country Initiative” special campaign for “dual-leader” Party branch secretaries in teaching units, on December 23, Professor Jiang Yanjun, Director of the National-Local Joint Engineering Laboratory for Process Integration of Chemical Energy Conservation and Resource Utilization at the School of Chemical Engineering of Hebei University of Technology and Vice Dean of the school, led a delegation in conducting a joint Party-building activity with Hebei Guangxiang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group. During the event, the two parties signed a strategic cooperation agreement and pledged to jointly establish a collaborative innovation model integrating Party building, scientific research, industry, and talent cultivation. Zhu Shujie, Chairman of Guangxiang Pharmaceutical, and Yang Huiling, Party Branch Secretary and Deputy General Manager, attended the event.
Vice President Jiang Yanjun and his delegation visited the company’s exhibition hall and listened attentively to a briefing on Guangxiang Pharmaceutical’s recent achievements in R&D innovation, industrial deployment, digital transformation, and international expansion. They highly commended the company for staying firmly focused on the core mission of high-quality development, continuously advancing transformation and upgrading, and accelerating leapfrog growth.
During the symposium, representatives from the university and the enterprise engaged in in-depth and productive discussions on such topics as joint Party-building initiatives, breakthroughs in critical technologies, collaborative talent development, and the co-building and sharing of platforms.
Jiang Yanjun outlined the college’s historical development, disciplinary strengths, representative research achievements, and the objectives and significance of the Party-building joint initiative. He proposed leveraging this initiative as a vital link to facilitate the commercialization of research outcomes, cultivate outstanding engineering professionals and enhance undergraduates’ practical engineering skills, and support local economic development—thereby helping chemical and pharmaceutical enterprises in the Yanzhao region transform and upgrade toward intelligent, green, and integrated operations—and to continuously deepen and broaden the scope and depth of university–enterprise collaboration.
Zhu Shujie stated that the School of Chemical Engineering at Hebei University of Technology boasts abundant talent and resource advantages that align closely with Guangxiang Pharmaceutical’s development needs. He emphasized the importance of fully leveraging the respective strengths of the university and the enterprise, and of pursuing multidimensional collaboration in areas such as research project cooperation, the cultivation of versatile professionals, the establishment of high-end innovation platforms, and the integration of energy-saving processes and resource utilization in the chemical industry, all under the guiding principles of Party building leadership, resource sharing, complementary advantages, collaborative innovation, and win-win cooperation, so as to jointly advance university–enterprise partnerships toward mutual benefit and success.
In the presence of all attendees from both sides, Jiang Yanjun, Vice Dean of the School of Chemical Engineering at Hebei University of Technology, and Zhu Shujie, Chairman of Hebei Guangxiang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., jointly signed a strategic cooperation agreement.
Zhu Shujie stated, “This signing marks the entry of our strategic partnership into a new phase. Moving forward, the university and the enterprise will continue to leverage Party-building collaboration as a robust bond, with a strong focus on fostering deep integration and efficient interaction among the innovation chain, the industrial chain, and the talent chain, thereby jointly injecting new momentum into the coordinated development of the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region and the industry’s drive for innovative, green, and high-quality growth.”
Hebei University of Technology is located in Tianjin and is a national “Double First-Class” university jointly established by the People’s Government of Hebei Province, the People’s Government of Tianjin Municipality, and the Ministry of Education. Its School of Chemical Engineering is a leading, distinctive discipline in Hebei Province, offering eight undergraduate programs, including Chemical Engineering and Technology, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Bioengineering, and Polymer Materials and Engineering. Among these, seven programs have been designated as national-level first-class undergraduate program construction sites, while one is recognized as a first-class program construction site at the provincial level in Hebei. Adhering to the school’s distinctive educational philosophy of “balancing engineering with other disciplines,” the school is committed to cultivating high-caliber engineering and technical professionals.
